Distance Learning
Inter-Continental
Christian University School of College Studies
offers undergraduate level degree programs including
Associate and Bachelors level, as well as graduate level
courses for the Masters degree program. All degree
programs offered through ICCU are completed entirely
through Distance Learning.
Distance
Learning has been devised and constructed through major
universities to be a comparable, effective and
affordable means of achieving a degree, without giving
up a career or moving to a new location just to attend a
school. The Distance Learning process has become the
answer for many who seek to earn additional recognition,
knowledge, and core values that have, until recently, only
be available the traditional campus experience.
Self-made and self-educated persons may
earn their degree
through self-imposed diligence, discipline, and hard work.
However, the rigors
of college-level study, complete with appropriate testing
and evaluation,
provide a standard of achievement that is easily recognized
as a mark of
mastery and accomplishment. The student who persists in a
college-level study
to the point of completing the selected degree program
requirements will have a
well-balanced curriculum including Bible, Theology, General
Education, and Practical or Vocational skills, with intensive investigation
and research, as well as awesome faith based
training in each area.
Distance Learning is not for everyone. It demands maturity,
self-discipline, and
persistence. It cannot, nor does it claim to, provide the
opportunities of the
residential campus for the younger student who is developing
in social
relationships and making important personal decisions and
setting future goals. Yet,
for the mature
student who desires a legitimate learning experience and is
unable to take
advantage of a residential college environment, distance
learning provides a
needed alternative.
The student clientele of Inter-Continental
Christian University
consists mainly of mature
adults, as well as those whose circumstances create
inaccessibility to the
residential campus who must then study at a distance.
Care is taken in the
admissions process to make certain that distance learning is
the best direction
for individual students.
